Salvia farinacea 'Strata' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In fall, spring and summer blue and white flowers emerge. Attracts beneficial insects, butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in acidic, alkaline, average and well-drained soil.

Mealycup sages are drought tolerant, deer resistant native perennials that are great for the garden or containers. Excellent for butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. 1996 AAS Award winner.Mealycup Sage is a drought tolerant and free flowering perennial Salvia native to west Texas and New Mexico. It is quite tolerant of soil types but will need average or better drainage for the best results and performs wonderfully under average garden conditions. This tough little native will flower from spring to frost and revels in the heat and sun. Hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and other pollinators are all attracted to the flowers of Mealycup Sage.
