Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This time the early bird gets a beautiful bloom instead of a worm! Bright and sunny black-eyed susan flowers appear on sturdy two foot stems in June and they just keep coming until October; dark-green foliage forms 2 x 2' mounds, perfect for the border or container. S/M/GDr
A must have perennial! Early Bird Gold Rudbeckia produces wave after wave of bright golden yellow, 3-4" daisies from late spring to fall on a nicely branching plant. This exciting new day-length neutral and thusly free flowering Black-Eyed Susan was discovered at Dupont Nursery near Plaquemine, Louisiana and is sure to bring in the butterflies and pollinators as well as providing color all summer. Drought tolerant, deer resistant, and reliable. Early Bird Gold was selected from a stand of Goldstrum Rudbeckia and inherits all of that award winning perennial's attributes yet it flowers continuously over a much longer period. Rudbeckia fulgida is native to much of the central and eastern United States. PP 20286
