Aglaia odorata is known by many names, such as Chinese Perfume Tree, Chinese Rice Flower, or Mock Lemon. It resembles an orange jasmine with upright growth habit 3-4' in containers. Hardy to 28 degrees. Very fragrant tiny scented yellow blooms adorn this plant several times a year. Likes full sun to filtered light.
This super easy to grow tropical shrub produces clusters of tiny yellow flowers that are wonderfully fragrant throughout the year. This small evergreen is quite adaptable to indoor conditions tolerating low humidity and low light and lends itself to the art of Bonsai. The Chinese Perfume Plant can grow into a large shrub or small tree but can easily be maintained at a smaller size with pruning.
