Glandularia 'Purple Pride' is a broadleaf evergreen or semi-evergreen perennial groundcover with green foliage. In fall and spring purple flowers emerge. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture - low water. Does well in well-drained soil.

Tight clusters of clear rich purple flowers top the trailing foliage of this new Greg Grant introduction. Very similar to Homestead but with a seemingly more refined habit and foliage and truly purple flowers. Thank you to Greg and the good folks at Stephen F Austin University for sharing this exciting new perennial with us. Spreads and slowly creates a dense groundcover or as a trailing plant in containers. A good choice for butterfly gardens. Expect peak flowering in fall and spring with some flowering through winter in mild winter regions.The trailing Verbenas are one of the earliest flowering perennials in our gardens and provide the early bird butterflies with plenty of choice nectar at a time when few other perennials are in flower.
