The color of this perennial Verbena certainly pops in the garden with its clusters of vivid, nearly glowing red flowers that are produced over a long period from spring well into summer and often again in fall and may flower through winter in mild winter regions. A close cousin of the ever reliable Homestead Purple, Homestead Carpet Red Verbena produces a groundcover-like mat of low trailing stems. Allow it to spill from containers, baskets, or as a loose groundcover in the garden.
