Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Possibly the only double flowered variegated Bougainvillea in existence and an Almost Eden exclusive! The large clusters of long lasting double fuschia colored 'flowers' contrast perfectly with the beautifully variegated creamy white and green foliage. Bougainvilleas are great for containers where they can be trained to a support, pruned into a shrub form, or allowed to spill from hanging baskets. We have to give special thanks to Greg Grant of Stephen F. Austin University for sharing this wonderful new cultivar with us! For the best Bougainvillea flower production it is typically recommended to allow the soil to become moderately dry between waterings and to use a low nitrogen and high potassium slow release non-burning fertilize. Like the ever popular Poinsettia it is the actually the long lasting papery bracts of the Bougainvillea that provide the majority of the color that we enjoy.
