Nursery contributed plant descriptions

2-3" bright yellow suflower-like flowers are held on 3'H branching sturdy stems from late spring to fall. The flowering stalks emerge from a rosette of wide medium green foliage on this fibrous rooted native perennial. Great for butterflies and pollinators. Starry Rosinweed is a common native of our local pineywoods where it can be seen flowering sometimes as early as March. It is quite drought tolerant once established and seems to prefer well-drained soils.
