Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Growing to just 3’ x 3’, this beautiful, easy & fast growing DWARF Tecoma is perfect for smaller gardens, containers or patio planters. Native to our Southwestern states & Central South America, it’s highly prized for its long flowering season – Summer to late Fall – & highly ornamental bright yellow 2” long trumpet-shaped flowers held in sprays at branch tips. Heat and drought tolerant once established, it does appreciate protection from wind if you live right on the coast. Many medicinal uses. Provide decent soil & Summer moisture, semi-deciduous. Attracts hummers, butterflies & bees!
This newly introduced variety of Yellow Bells was selected for earlier and more consistent flowering habits. The large golden yellow trumpets are born in loose clusters from summer to fall on this woody perennial. Occasional deadheading promotes more blooms, though it is not required. Mulch deeply in winter for best results.
