Lonicera x heckrottii 'Gold Flame' is a broadleaf semi-evergreen perennial vine with green foliage. In spring and summer cream, pink and yellow flowers emerge. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and regular water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil.

Lonicera x heckrottii, Goldflame Honeysuckle, is a hybrid of unclear origin; possibly sempervirens x americana. It is a handsome vine with beautiful red buds that open to expose yellow petals. Will continue to bloom from late spring through the summer as it grows. Twining Type.
Fragrant pink flowers with a yellow throat emerge from darker red buds in the spring, with some flowers continuing into the summer and fall. Blue-green leaves are evergreen to about 20 degrees, otherwise they are deciduous. 10'+ in ten years. Michael Dirr says it is "the most handsome of the climbing honeysuckles."
