Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Pachystachys lutea, commonly called Golden Shrimp Plant, is an unusual, semi-tropical shrub with long-blooming power! Displays small white flowers blooming outwards along large, overlapping, scale-like, golden-yellow bracts. The glossy, oval-shaped foliage is evergreen and attractive. If grown indoors, provide ample light and humidity. Plants grown in the ground grow much larger than ones in containers. They prefer lots of sun and rich, organic, well-draining soil. Protect your PRINCE OF PARADISE™ from frost!
Always in flower and easy-to-grow, with spires of yellow rocket-shaped lollipops that look like they're ready for take off. The bright yellow flowers are comprised of successive bracts from which protrude open-faced white flowerlets. We can't say enough about Lollipop Flower if you're looking for a reliable potted plant, one that is sure to bloom year-round under varying light conditions. To maintain size, we recommend a hard pruning and before you know it, the lollipops will return with vigor.
An everblooming plant with mounding deep green leaves producing conical shaped yellow bracts from which white shrimp like flowers emerge. Native to Peru, it likes sun to bright shade and minimum temps of 60 °F. Sometimes known as Golden Shrimp.
Pure white, shrimp-faced, tubular blooms emerge from golden yellow bracts on spikes to 8"H. Deep green foliage creates the backdrop for this popular tropical perennial. Can become a semi-woody and shrub-like where protected from frosts.
