Nerium oleander 'Cherry Ripe'

'Cherry Ripe' certainly lives up to its name producing large clusters of dark cherry red flowers on this durable rounded evergreen shrub in summer. This is an intermediate growing Oleander that will easily reach 6-8' high and may reach 12' high in mild winter climates. An excellent and beautiful Oleander cultivar.Oleanders are extremely durable and reliable evergreen shrubs for mild winter climates and are especially well adapted to the mild coastal regions of the US. Salt tolerant, drought resistant, deer resistant, and adaptable to a variety of soil types although they do appreciate good drainage and seem to prefer a mineral soil over humus based soils. Oleanders also make excellent container specimens that are easily overwintered indoors in cooler climates.
