Native to Madagascar, this succulent plant features large green, ear-like leaves covered in dark maroon to brown spots. Displays clusters of salmon-colored, tubular flowers on tall stalks. The ovate-lanceolate leaves reach a substantial size, up to 20" long, eventually hanging down from their own weight. Kalanchoe are low maintenance, and require little water once established. Provide a well-drained soil away from reflected heat. Ideal in warm climate landscapes and container gardens, but is especially happy sitting on your windowsill as a houseplant. Also known as the Donkey Ear kalanchoe. This kalanchoe from Madagascar has huge, banded leaves that curve downwards and form little plantlets at the tip. Enormous flower spike with bell shaped reddish flowers. Great for hanging baskets.
