    Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'El Capitolio' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial shrub with green foliage. In summer red flowers emerge. Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in acidic, alkaline and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something seaside / salt tolerant and wind tolerant.

    The large glowing red single blooms have another smaller double bloom that is held out away from the 'parent' bloom creating a 'poodled' effect. The large blooms often have a streak of white adding to their tropical beauty. A very unique Hibiscus flower form! Deep glossy green foliage on an upright shrub. Easily trained into tree standards. Blooms prolifically throughout summer.
