A South American native, a climbing vine with pendulant flower racemes up to 12" long full of bright blue star-shaped petals. Butterflies love it. Likes warm, humid weather, flowering spring thru summer in full to part sun. Cannot freeze.
Huge drooping panicles of long lasting, lavender, star-shaped calyxes that are centered by royal purple 1/2" rounded verbena-like flowers, are produced from Jan-August. The medium-green leaves are textured like sandpaper. A vigorous tropical twining vine.
