The fragrance intensifies as night approaches. The India Carnation can be grown in alkaline soils but typically needs ample fertilize to overcome the pH. May be grown in full sun in cooler summer climates but partial sun will provide the best foliage in hot southern regions. Grow the Crape Jasmine in containers where not cold hardy.
