This is one of the most rare perennial from Japan. It is aTrillium relative with particular appeal for collectors who love unusual woodlanders. It has quiet yet beautiful flowers on a trillium-like plant. The stem is circled by a single whorl for four to seven mid-green leaves which is echoed by the flower with its own whorl of white bracts subtending threadlike white petals, golden stamens.
