Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The martagon is a classic woodland lily with small, delicate, pendant flowers with recurved petals.'Manitoba Morning' has rich pink flowers with yellow and burgundy spots. Great in a part shade or the woodland garden rising above Hosta, Arisaema and Brunnera. Some martagon lilies will take a "year off" especially in the year after being first planted. Dig down carefully to investigate before fretting.
One of the Lilium martagon hybrids which are so outstanding in the garden and exceptionally hardy thriving as they do in Manitoba for example. Rich rose colored flowers whose faces are liberally speckled in yellow and brown flecks. This will be sure to become a pause to admire point in your garden if not a spot to actually pull up a chair.
Blooms: summer, dark rose-red flowers with darker and lighter spotting. Zone 3-8, 3'-5', hybrid, part shade-sun, moist, humus rich
