Allium falcifolium is an intriguing and rare west coast native onion with unique, curved, blade or scythe-like leaves followed by loose heads of magenta-red flowers. Great for the front of the border or rock gardens. Few plants can offer the unique flower forms of ornamental onions. Every garden should have Alliums. Plant in multiples of 3, 5, 7 or more. Don't fret when foliage starts to die back just before flowering. It's normal. Just trim the leaves.
Blooms: summer, rose/ fleshy strappy foliage emerges in late winter. Zone 6-9. 8", PNW, part shade-sun, moist-dry, well drained.
