Cypripedium x ventricosum is a broadleaf deciduous perennial orchid with green foliage. In spring cream, magenta, purple and white flowers emerge. Grows well with mostly sun - shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.

Ventricosum' is the artificial remake of a naturally occuring hybrid between the European lady's slipper C. calceolus and the Siberian C. macranthos where their ranges overlap in the wild. It is incredibly stable and robust in its growth with magnificent deep pink and fuchsia colouration. Grows to 35-45 cm (14-18 in) high with broad leaves and strong stems topped with 1-2 medium-sized flowers. Grown from seed. Plants will resemble the image but may not be identical.
