Cypripedium kentuckiense has the largest flowers of the lady's slipper orchids with a large cream-coloured pouch and maroon sepals and petals. Stems can reach 80 cm (32 in.) tall with 1-2 flowers per stem. Blooms in May/June. It is the southern cousin of our C. parviflorum. Reportedly easy to grow in regular to slightly acidic woodland conditions. Blooming size. Seed grown.
