    Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Not your typical ribes, this is an evergreen ground cover, to only 18" tall and spreading to 4-5' wide, for the dry garden in sun to part shade. Flowers are small and hardly noticeable. This glossy-leaved California native is indispensable under Douglas fir or native oak, slowly spreading via underground runners. Sun to part shade with no summer water. Easy. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8b.
