Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A Cistus introduction. This low-growing form, collected near the Lolo Pass Road on Oregon's Mt. Hood, has nice, blue-green foliage held tightly on densely branched plants, to only 4-6" tall x 5' wide. Evergreen, of course, and happy in full sun to light shade and lean soil that drains well where little summer water is provided. Beautiful among other natives such as its natural cohorts, manzanitas, in a container, wall or bank planting. Frost hardy in USDA zone 5 or colder.
