Nursery contributed plant descriptions

One of the most attractive of the genus, this represents our collection from Santa Cruz County, Arizona many years ago in one of our favorite canyons, rich in all kinds of semiarid goodies. Plants eventually growing to 6-10' with 4' spread of most beautiful gray-blue leaves with gold spines along the leaf margins and leaf tips. Lovely when back lit. This is a mid elevation collection so we expect frost hardiness of about 10 to 15 °F, mid USDA zone 8, recovering from lower.
