    Ceanothus 'Blue Sapphire' is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with green foliage. In spring blue flowers emerge. Attracts bees and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and occasional water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in acidic, average, clay, gritty, lean and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something seaside / salt tolerant, verticillium wilt resistant and wind tolerant.

    A new entry into the spectrum of California lilics, this low-growing shrub, with arching branches and, in spring, deep and brilliant blue flowers against dark foliage background, is the perfect plant for a border or a bank. Evergreen, to around 3' tall x 5' wide, plants are drought tolerant though willing to accept summer water where the drainage is good. Bright sun enhances the already fabulous foliage and flower colors. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
