Sedum acre 'Aureum' is an evergreen groundcover cactus / succulent with chartreuse and gold foliage. In summer yellow flowers emerge. Attracts bees and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in average, gritty, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something pollution tolerant.

Clusters of yellow star-shaped flowers bloom above a dense carpet of succulent green foliage. New foliage is tipped golden-yellow in spring. Sedums grow best in well-drained, gravelly soil that is not wet in winter. Drought tolerant. Requires little water once established.
A little golden green creeper for planting between stepping stones or in crevices, as well s a filler for succulent planters and alpine troughs. less than an inch tall, and roots along as it spreads.
This is a very hardy and easy to grow succulent that is as popular as our mosses. Gold-green foliage on ¼ inch needle-like stubs on 1-2 inch stems. Yellow star flowers in summer. Perfect for the small container and troughs, Fairy Gardens and all small scale scenes. This and the darker Sedum acre are our major understory plants of the forests of our railroad. Sun to partial shade. Well drained soil. These plants are more condensed and compact in the container compared to growing in the ground at the Blacksmith Shop (see our Photo Gallery), where they spread out and will trail over cliffs and edges. The Sedum acre family grow in a wide variety of soils and present themselves in several ways depending on the circumstances.
Bright yellow, star-shaped flowers cover a trailing mat of pale green, fleshy leaves with goldent tips. Evergreen.
