Bellium minutum, or Miniature Daisy, is a great flowering groundcover! Displays masses of teeny-tiny, white daisy flowers with a mat-forming foliage. Tolerates most soils but needs regular water during the growing season. Great plant for shady borders. Tolerates varying amounts of foot traffic.
A tried and true favorite miniature garden bedding plant for the “understory” in your miniature garden bed. This plant will keep growing and giving. Divide your miniature daisies every year or two, to keep it fresh. Full sun to part sun. Damp soil, don’t let it dry out completely. Long blooming, from June through to September. Real, daisy-like flowers too. 1/2" blooms are the cutest. When not in bloom the wonderful green colored matt is great for texture. Hardy to -25 °F, Zone 5 to 9. Heat hardy zones 9 thru 6.
Bellium minutum MINI DAISY BELMIN Tiny round leaves with ½ inch daisy blooms on 2-inch stems that continue all summer long. Good in LiveScale© scenes, troughs, or rock garden. Some people use this as a miniature sunflower. One of the most charming mini flowers. Goes dormant in winter.
Diminutive white daisies with yellow centers form over a low mat of glossy lime-green foliage. In mild climates it will spread slowly by runners and bloom nearly year round, otherwise it is a summer bloomer. Found on maritime rocks. Best utilized in full sun or part shade in hotter climates with regular garden water. Hardy to 10 °F. An enjoyable but generally weak perennial, originating from the Mediterranean Islands.
