Hymenocallis harrisiana, also known as Ismene harrisiana, is a very spider-like species with white flowers consisting of a small corona with long, thin filaments holding orange stamens, and long, narrow, arching petals. The flowers of Peruvian daffodil or spider lily are fragrant and are borne on stems 1-2 feet tall above the Amaryllis-like foliage. Grow in a protected location outdoors in zone 8 or as a pot plant brought in as a houseplant in winter.
