Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The bright lemon yellow foliage of this vigorous mophead hydrangea is sure to brighten any shady garden. The large blue (or pink) mophead flowers against the yellow foliage create a wonderfully cool contrast. Lemon Daddy, a sport of Big Daddy, is considered by many to be the most vigorous of the yellow foliaged cultivars.Lemon Daddy's flower color is dependent on soil pH: acid is blue, alkaline is pink. Prune immediately after blooming. Provide midday and afternoon shade in hot southern climates as well as a rich, moist but not wet, soil.
