Saxifraga cotyledon is a broadleaf evergreen perennial groundcover with green foliage. In summer white flowers emerge. Grows well with mostly sun - mostly shade and even moisture water. Does well in well-drained soil.
Super EASY & so gosh darn cute I want to tweek its darling little silvery rosette cheeks. Profusions of large, pyramidal panicles of FRAGRANT, white flowers (often with maroon dots) on 30" arching stems appear in early-Summer, perfect for cutting! To 2' tall, it forms a gorgeous silvery mat of 5" wide rosettes. Dividing is best done in early-Spring. Though many Saxifrages are limited to nooks & crannies of rock gardens, this one can be grown in the garden, too (or in a pot), in part shade or bright shade in moderately moist well drained soil. Also does not mind our wet Winters. Native to Iceland.
