Nursery contributed plant descriptions

How lucky are we that this cheerful & accommodating chance seedling showed up in one of our trays? It wasn't what we wanted & heck, we're not even sure what it?is, but we're stoked it's around! Blooming for months upon months in seemingly all weather, it produces a 2' plus cloud of 1.5" dark-eyed golden daisies with pronounced green bracts & a maroon blotch at the base of each petal. Though the blooms are small, they're also plentiful & nice in flower arrangements. You'll have plenty of material to keep you busy. It also *does* *not* quit ? our plant bloomed at least half the year before exhausting itself. Here it seems to act like a short lived perennial, much like Rudbeckia hirta. Average garden soil & average water plus a sunny site are all you need to get the party started.
