Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Don't have room for mega-huge Melianthus major? I don't want to make M. major feel bad, but this super rare, fuzzy wuzzy leaved Melianthus stays a sweet 6-7' tall & has very cute, smaller, even more tropicalesque blue-green divided leaves. Funky deep red, almost purpley flowers begin to appear in late Winter (I think), transforming into super showy, downy inflated seed pods that are totally fun & make fab material for flower arrangers. A striking container subject & hardier than M. major. it can deal with temps as low as 10-15 degrees F.? Native to South Africa, it's EASY, TOUGH & ADAPTABLE. Well-drained soil is best.
