Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Luscious & lavish chocolate-burgundy flecked cream-colored blooms, with a strong heady scent... who's thinking about dessert? MMmmm. A Spencer type, the 1.5" wavy edged blooms are borne many to a stem, sturdy & long-stemmed enough for bouquets. Sweet peas are hardy annuals, so the usual rules apply: plant as early as you're able - even in Fall if you're in a mild climate & be sure to help them along by giving them a rich mix of well amended fertile soil. Until your vines get a foot or so into the air, be sure to bait for snails. Grows 4-6' tall & wide. Needs support to climb.
