Blue Shadow is an excellent replacement for the anemic Fothergilla gardenia 'Blue Mist'. It is even bluer, much more vigorous, and considerably tougher than Blue Mist. The shrub originated from a 'Mt. Airy' plant, and retains the dwarf and dense character of its parent.

'Blue Shadow' will grow in full sun as well as part shade and hold the rich foliage color all summer. Fall color is a rich tapestry of reds, oranges and yellow.
