Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A most cheerful little plant! 12" mound with bright orange flowers that bloom longer than any other plant in the nursery - almost never without blooms (except the dead of winter!) – Sun, average garden conditions – may sulk in heavy clay soils – Happy in a pot – would be brilliant in a rock garden – Very long lived – so many years of joy for such a meager sum of money!
For those who crave strong vibrant hot colours here is a cheerful plant with bright orange single flowers that blooms in spring and will rebloom in autumn if deadheaded.
A clump forming perennial, with a rosette of softly hairy, pinnate leaves. In Spring and Summer, bright orange, anemone-like flowers, are borne on thin stems. One of the few brightly coloured flowers for shade.Attractive foliage goes well with violets and primulas.Well drained soil.A lot tougher than you might think.

Easy, well behaved, long blooming, pretty foliage & showy flowers. This low maintenance lovely forms low clumps (1' tall x 1' wide) of handsome, tight, kidney shaped, evergreen foliage topped by short, branching stems of single, bright orange-red, _" blooms with prominent yellow stamens. Blooms Spring thru late Summer. Nice at the front of border & in rock gardens. Not fussy about soil - ordinary garden soil will do. Native to Northern Turkey & the Balkans.
