Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Spare but sweet this soft violet wildflower doesn't have the flash of the garden snaps, but its wee 1/4" purple flowers, which are borne en masse, are indubitably charming & add an interesting texture to the native garden. Picture its blooming stalks of lavender entwined with the soft apricot of Mimulus bifidus! See? That's pretty. From the Southern part of our fair state, in garden conditions this species can achieve 2-3' in height & spread, but in poor soil & with low water the size will be proportionally smaller. A sunny site is suitable & the company of other natives.
