Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Brightly, intensely violet-blue flowers cover this dense carpeter (3"t x 30"w) in late spring; the rest of the season it?s just(!) a beautiful, drought/humidity-tolerant groundcover/edger/cascader. S/M/GDr PPAF
Tidal Pool' is a small Veronica that produces blue violet flowers with white centers held on short spikes. The silvery green foliage is very compact and perfect as a groundcover or spilling from the edge of a pot or hanging basket.
Denser and faster spreading than many other speedwells, with small oak like leaves that are medium green with a faint silvery-blue cast from its slight pubescence. The plants cover themselves with medium to deep blue-violet flowers from late April into mid-May. The rest of the growing season, they settle into attractive groundcovers that seem to handle cold, heat, humidity, rain, and drought equally well. For use in full sun as a groundcover, edging plant, in the rock garden, or cascading over rocks or walls. The plant will tolerate some light foot traffic. Dense enough to suppress some weed growth. May make a good bluegrass lawn substitute in dryland states. Well-drained soils recommended. Very drought tolerant.
