    Lamium maculatum 'Aureum' is a broadleaf semi-evergreen perennial groundcover with chartreuse, gold and variegated foliage. In spring lavender flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with bright shade - shade and regular - occasional water. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, clay, gritty, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and humidity tolerant.

    Lamium maculatum 'Aureum' is a showy perennial ground cover called spotted deadnettle that forms spreading patches of small, lime green to chartreuse leaves with central silver stripes. Small, hooded lavender-pink flowers emerge in late spring in attractive whorls and continue on and off until fall. Fairly tolerant of dry shade once established. Grows 6-8 inches tall and 12-24 inches wide. Great in beds, border edges, containers, and as a ground cover along pathways or for underplanting larger shade perennials, trees, and shrubs. Pollinator attractor. Deer and rabbit resistant.

    The brilliant yellow-green leaves of this slowly-spreading groundcover will brighten up any too-dark shady corner; roots as it goes to form a nice carpet and produces mauve, "snap-dragon" flowers in early summer. PSh-Sh/M

    A ground cover of brilliant yellow that will create a brilliant carpet in moist, part shade areas. Only a few inches tall, this perennial is dense enough to smother most weeds; I liken its spreading ability to Ajuga in the garden. A single plant will eventually cover a 3’ square area. Lavender flowers show off nicely against the bright foliage late spring early summer. Evergreen for us, looking great even in winter, but we do shear it back once in a while to keep the foliage looking perky. Also makes a superb bulb cover. Will cascade and spill over rocks and from pots.
