Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Has single rich pink flowers that have lovely centers, like extra tiny petals.

By: Gossler Farms

This Lenten Rose features exquisite, hefty, semi-double blooms with incredibly rich cherry-red centers. The petals are creamy white with red margins and they contrast the dark center beautifully. The red center also features a multitude of gorgeous pale-yellow stamens. This perennial makes neat clumps of deer resistant, evergreen foliage. This is a fantastic addition to shaded containers and borders and would be breath-taking as a mass planting. PSh-Sh/M

'Cherry Blossom' has single or semi double blossoms with a distinctive cherry-wine picotee edge and collar surrounding the central stamens. Foliage grows 12+14" tall, and forms clumps slowly up to 2' across.

Helleborus Winter Jewels Cherry Blossom has pale pink tepals picoteed with darker pink and, if you're lucky, a ruffled, anemone centre (some will be single or double). This strain has been bred by Marietta O'Byrne for this semi-double central ruff which is even rarer than a double hellebore. Count yourself lucky when you do get an anemone centre but if you are dreaming about finding one this strain will give you the best shot! The backs of the tepals are usually beautifully detailed as well. Deer resistant. Perennial Plant of the Year 2005.
