Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This Chilean bromeliad has narrow deep green leaves all year. In the fall, the bases of the leaves in a 3” circle will turn glowing red. The flowers will appear within this circle. The flowers are baby blue creating a shockingly beautiful plant in August-October. Suggest only mild climate as we saw it in SW England close to the coast. We grow it in a container.
