A clumping, winter dormant perennial. Strong, well branched stems, rise above the foliage to bear 4cm, saucer shaped, rich blue-mauve flowers from early spring to late autumn. This hybrid of G. pratense and G. clarkei 'Kashmir Purple' is an exceptional plant, that we consider far superior to G. 'Johnson's Blue' in our climate.Cut back when tatty, to be rewarded with a burst of fresh new growth.
