Brookside' is said to have a truer blue flower colour, a longer bloom period and a more robust habit than the well-known 'Johnson's Blue'.

A clumping, winter dormant perennial. Strong, well branched stems, rise above the foliage to bear 4cm, saucer shaped, rich blue-mauve flowers from early spring to late autumn.This hybrid of G. pratense and G. clarkei 'Kashmir Purple' is an exceptional plant, that we consider far superior to G.
