This charmer got its "tiny" name and 10" x 24" compactness from G.sanguineum, its "monster" name, vigorous groundcovering spirit and handsome cut-leaves from G. psilostemon; its pretty pink, wine-red-veined spring flowers are its own! S/M/GDr
Critter-resistant Cranesbill that is lovely for the border, rock garden or container...6-12” tall with sprawling compact growth to 2’ wide, also makes a nice groundcover massed. Drought and clay tolerant, profuse bloom May-June of magenta flowers, sporadic rest of summer. Sterile. Sun to part shade and moderate water makes this little monster happy!
A solid performer with purple-violet flowers above the mounded foliage from late spring through late summer. 'Tiny Monster' is a quickly spreading cultivar with foliage that remains attractive throughout the entire season, turning rich scarlet tones in fall. It is a reliable groundcover for landscapers and gardeners who appreciate low-maintenance perennials. 'Tiny Monster' is a sterile cultivar from Germany. It is a cross between Geranium sanguineum and G. psilostemon. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
Great name remember the 6? tall fear daemon from Buffy the vampire slayer, this is even more indestructible and not all that tiny. ZONE 4
