Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Evergreen climbing Hydrangea from China with long, lush, strappy leaves; will climb a big tree trunk over time and put on a showy bloom of white, frothy flower clusters in late summer that bees enjoy. Prefers rich, moist garden soil and bright shade. Seems to grow vertically and doesn’t wander out and cover branches, so co-exists well with the tree it grows on.
Self-clinging evergreen vine with terminal white flowers in large clusters in late summer to early autumn. Foliage is handsome, the leaves dark green and leathery. For half sun to full shade in fertile, well-drained soil. An excellent candidate to run up that Douglas fir out back, as long as it gets a bit of summer water. (Not recommended on brick as it clings a bit too tightly.) From China and cold hardy to 10F, USDA zone 8.
One of few vines which do well in part to full shade, this sturdy 15-30' clinger has fine long, leathery bright-green leaves ;, in fall, showy 4-6" heads of small creamy-white flowers; lovely! ; great with red-fruited Pyracantha. PSh-Shade/Med
