This is a perennial to be planted in great drifts, so that the full range of pink to deep burgundy colors can be displayed. Very rewarding and carefree, it's one Iris every garden deserves. very adaptable to many soils. Hardiness Zone 4 - 10.
Deep burgundy red outer falls are centered with lighter burgundy standards. Beautiful, full, nearly rounded flowers. A vigorous and hardy Louisiana Iris from the 'Fallen Heroes' series hybridized by Leeann Connelly. Multiplies readily in average garden soils, moist to wet soils, or can be set in water gardens where the container is just below the water's surface. Blooms March through May.
