Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This elegant Dutch selection offers exquisite goblets of pale creamy-yellow above a mound of handsome glossy, dissected foliage... an early spring treat; deadhead for a repeat performance. S/M-W PPAF
Small, pretty and pale yellow cups, nearly double, are a sweet addition to the Trollius line-up. This is a lovely Dutch introduction that deserves a good place in a moist garden, but if it's "cheddar" then it's almost white cheddar - in any case, the prettiest light yellow. A June through July bloomer, 2' T x 18" W. Minimum temperature: -30?F
Pale yellow, tissue-like petals fashion an exquisite, nearly double, shallow open cup. Casting a soft feminine mood on the May garden, the sumptuous blooms pose above an attractive mound of shiny foliage carved into small sections. A Dutch introduction, 'Cheddar' deserves to find its way into more gardens, where it will flourish in damp open sites matched with companions such as Sanguisorba obtusa or Geranium 'Espresso' .
A most attractive cultivar with the cream colored bowls posses a subtle beauty quite unlike any other Trollius we offer. ZONE 5
