Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Easy to grow perennial with towering stems 4-5’ tall topped with grand spikes of tiny tube like lilac-rose flowers with a candelabra arrangement (resembles Veronica on steroids) June to August. Very architectural! Stems are whorled with handsome serrated foliage. Needs full sun, well drained moist to wet soil and attracts butterflies. Plant clumps are 3-4’ wide. This one was love at first sight for me!
Mid to late summer blooming, this form of Culver's Root provides endless candelabras of lilac rose spires to compliment Coneflowers and Border Phlox in the dog days of July and August. Happy in a range of soil conditions, 'Fascination' grows to 5' tall, and will form clumps 2-3' wide.
Fascination's leafy stems taper delicately into 15 in. long lilac-rose racemes tipped with vivid green buds, which bend and curve, adding a playful air to its imposing carriage. Display this graceful Veronicastrum with Angelica archangelica's rounded umbels, and the rosy plumes of Miscanthus 'Nippon'.
The tall (to 4') slender flower "candles" of lavender; irridescent-pink on this pretty SE moist meadow wildflower joyfully mix with grasses or other late (Aug-Sept) blooming flowers; will form a colony. Sun/M-W
