Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The foliage on this delightful small tree has wide margins of deep buttery-gold. Its habit is full with a somewhat columnar form reaching to 8' tall x 4'wide. The much-loved pure white spring flowers make this a unique and showy specimen for woodlands edge or focal point. S-PSh/M
Faster growing than most other variegated dogwoods and more naturally upright, 'Summer Gold' produces bright golden variegated leaves and pure white flowers. Like other Cornus kousa varieties the fruit give way to red and pink edible fruit in late summer. Although the fruits are seedy, they taste good and are popular for jams and preserves (if the birds don't get them first). Cornus kousa varieties are also very disease resistant and rarely have issues with the diseases that other dogwoods might have.
This variety has brilliant yellow margins all summer. In fall, the center (green) of the leaf turns brilliant purple red and the yellow margin turns bright pink. Flowers are white, but it’s all about the foliage.
Nice upright Dogwood with bright yellow-gold and green variegated leaves. Slight blush of pink as well. Fall color is pinkish-red-bright red. White flowers. Growth Rate medium
Crispin Silva of Crispin's Creations, Molalla, OR has a sharp eye for plants of superior ornamental merit. This selection from him has an auspicious future and these are the first ever offered to the trade in commercial quantity. Distinctly upright in form, as opposed to the other gold-variegated dogwood, 'Gold Star'. Its uniform yellow variegation, uncrinkled leaves and strong growing habit qualify it a money-maker.
