Is an evergreen up to 2' tall. The new fronds appear late in the season. This lovely fern comes from Japan and has pretty bronze foliage.
Koidzuma's wood fern is a distinguished evergreen highly regarded for its extremely intense burgundy colour in the new growth. This growth is very late in the season so it holds this colour well into summer.
Most striking fern whose young fronds are intensely brick red aging eventually to russet green. Erect rhizome with upright fronds have 8-10 pair of pinnae. Plant in light sun to dappled shade & well drained, moist soil. Zones 7b to 10. Height: appx. 24”. Evergreen.
