Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A rare white blooming Serrata--snow capped Mt Fuji. This fabulous compact Serrata stands out with its double to triple white florets resembling snowflakes. This hot new plant is one of the first to be introduced from Japan and will soon storm the country with its blooming power. Try this in a container or in the partial shade and it will give you a great show.
New and rare, this delicious, white blooming hydrangea is covered in summer with double florets like summer snowflakes -- unique but more lacecap than mophead. (Shirofugi translates as "snowcapped Mt. Fuji", a perfect description.) Their size isn't mountainous; plants are small and compact, to only 3' tall and wide, and easily tucked in here and there to refresh the summer garden. Part shade is best except in the coolest, coastal climates. Remains white in any soil! but needs summer moisture. Frost hardy to -10 °F, USDA zone 6.
Its name, "snow-capped Mt.Fuji", well describes this low (3-5') mounding shrub when it covers itself with delicate double white, snowflake-like flowers; a delightful newcomer from Japan. SUN-PSh/Med
