    Helenium autumnale 'Moerheim Beauty' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In summer bronze, orange and red flowers emerge. Attracts butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and regular water. Does well in average soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.

    'Moerheim Beauty' is a long-flowering, sturdy, summer daisy relative with fire engine red flowers with orange and yellow highlights on medium tall plants to about three feet. The flowers of Helenium are non-allergenic. Instead, it gets its name from the old-time use of the dried, powdered root for snuff. Helenium is a wonderful perennial that is easy to grow and provides months of fabulous colour from midsummer through early fall. Their tall stems and long lasting flowers make them ideal for cutting. The species hail from habitats of average to high soil moisture so they can be grown in the garden in moist and wet conditions. Will attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbit resistant.

    This variety of Helen's Flower has lovely coppery-red daisy blooms that bloom for a long time in late summer and fall, adding just the right contrast to monkshood, veronicastrum and lavender blue asters in moist, well-drained soil. A stalwart of northern gardens it is an easy care choice. Deadhead to prolong bloom, or shear after bloom and divide every 4 years or so.
