Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Alma will brighten an Aug-Sept garden with her unique and showy bright rose-pink flowers on 3-4' stalks. S/M
The best of the tall pink flowered hybrids, fluorescent pink flowers in great abundance. ZONE 4
A violet-pink, fringed, golden-eyed aster that blooms during the time the leaves turn fiery orange and yellow-an arresting, and very beautiful sight. A sight for sore eyes for bees and butterflies too, as it is an important late nectar and pollen source for migrating Monarchs, and birds feast on the seeds much later, as winter draws near. Provide moist yet well-drained soil, and corral loosely with stakes. Lower stems often become bare; to lessen this divide every 3 years or so. September through October bloom.
